Why you Should buy Homeschool Software!

Homeschool Software

The easy way...

Of all the reasons to purchase homeschool software for your homeschooling needs, there are admittedly some reasons that make spending money on software an unsound decision.

If you have made the decision to homeschool your child, you are one of a select group of loving parents who care enough and have the time to provide your child with an education that you feel cannot be found in public or private schools.  In other words, you feel that you can do it better!  You are to be commended.

You also may feel that in abandoning the normal system of child education, you should cast aside the standard curriculum.  That is after all one of the reasons that you may have chosen to do it yourself.  This makes you somewhat of an independent person.  In your independence you probably feel that you can figure it out as you go and discover the resources you will need on your own.

You may be one of the parents for whom buying homeschool software is not the best decision.  Maybe you feel that you can find free resources in books or online, and perhaps you could.  I would encourage you however to consider the following before you make up your mind.

Homeschooling a child is a daunting task.  While you are excited about the prospect of giving your child the attention and education that you feel he or she deserves, there is one resource above all others that you may be overestimating… your time!

Homeschooling software becomes a real value to you when you consider the time that it will save you.  The latest software today will give you not only an excellent curriculum, but detailed lesson plans and resources that are easily customizable and always at your fingertips.  Your energy levels may be high today, but the time pressures on you will be enormous once the teaching begins.

You have decided to make the investment of time in your children because you love them and you want to spend quality time with them while providing them with an education in a home setting of your choosing.  I would recommend that you consider purchasing one of the latest homeschool software packages that are on the market today because it puts all of the resources you need in one convenient and easy to use place… it is a real time saver.  And time will very soon be one of your most valuable commodities.

I invite you to look around my blog and link to this site.  My hope is that you will find some useful information that will help you succeed in your continual commitment to your child’s education.  If you do decide to utilize the latest software, remember that it is a wonderful tool, but the most valuable tool you have is your dedication and love for your child!

Home Schooling Requirements for Your State

Home School Requirements

Home School Rquirements

Home school requirements vary from state to state.  Here are links to each state’s requirements so that you may have an idea of the steps you will have to take in becoming a homeschooler.

Disclaimer:  I am not a legal professional, nor do I claim to be giving legal advice!  I am only providing information to help you get started on researching this topic.  Enough said, you get the idea.

Home schooling law was passed by each state individually according to their interpretations of what would be the minimum requirements for a sound home schooling program.  The laws will vary in their complexity, with some being easier to understand and implement than others.  It is always a good idea to consult your local and state authorities for any interpretation or clarification of these laws.  A wonderful source might be your local librarian who has surely fielded similar questions from potential homeschoolers in the past.  Another source might be from any state home schooling association that you might find information for online.

Please pay particular attention to how your state defines what is or is not a home school.  Sometimes an online group is still state sponsored, and therefor is considered to be an extension of the public school system.
